MEET cecilie

One of Atrium's strengths is the team that makes it happen. Meet Cecilie Betzer, who is Educational Program Leader. What is that? And what difference does Cecilie's background in both healthcare and educational pedagogy make for your experience at Atrium's courses?

Why is it exciting to work with education for the pharmaceutical industry?

"The pharmaceutical industry is a great place to work with education because our students represent a vast variety of work areas and professional skills, and I sense that they come to us in Atrium as an active choice. This gives us a huge responsibility when it comes to providing courses that meet their learning needs, using the right didactics - that is, making sure that our students actually learn something, and that they experience progression, both in terms of education and in engaging their work tasks. It is a perfect, educational challenge for me."

Why do you think it is important to educate yourself throughout your life?

"Continuing education is not only exciting - it is also imperative in a time when things are changing fast. To be properly “armed” to take care of your job now and in the future also increases your “market value”, so to speak, and this is, in fact, a necessity. That said, continuing education can also be fun and incredibly rewarding, both professionally and personally. It is an opportunity for immersion and a free space where one can be stimulated in a different way than one's ordinary job allows."

What do you think is the strength of exactly Atrium's courses?

"The difference lies in that fact that the people working in Atrium are passionate about what we do. We feel connected to both our courses and, in particular, our students. It may sound silly, but taking a course at Atrium is a bit like joining our family, which I believe is a strength – that we all strive to make each other and the industry as qualified as possible. Atrium is a rallying point where we meet to obtain a shared goal: progression, learning and development."
