Summary

This course will help you deepen and update your knowledge of the rules for pharmaceutical advertising and other communication measures and activities aimed at health care professionals. During the course we will discuss current topics handled by the Ethical Committee for the Pharmaceutical Industry (ENLI) as well as recent rulings and complex compliance cases in the pharmaceutical industry as a whole.

      Carsten Blæsberg, Chief Consultant at the Danish Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (Lif) looks at the latest trends in pharmaceutical marketing compliance – from the new rules on inviting HCPs to conferences in Denmark’s Capital Region to pan-European rules on the pharma industry’s use of digital media.

      Recent rulings and current topics: pharma advertising to and interaction with health care professionals

      Rikke Bækgaard Thomassen, Legal Investigator and Head of the Ethical Committee for the Pharmaceutical Industry in Denmark (ENLI), gives us insights into the Committee’s current work. This fall’s hot topics are press releases, scientific events, social media and much more.

      Workshop: Sufficiently scientific? When pharmaceutical advertising aspires to be medical information for HCPs

      Medical investigators for the Ethical Committee for the Pharmaceutical Industry in Denmark (ENLI) Jesper Clausager Madsen and Kasper Hasseriis Andersen reveal current compliance challenges in pharmaceutical advertisement and help you get better at making sound compliance decisions. We will be looking at recent cases, focusing on complex compliance issues such as the use of evidence when substantiating advertising claims, or how to use illustrations and photos compliantly.

      As this is an advanced course, it is expected that you have prior knowledge of ENLI and ENLI’s advertising code. It is also expected that you have completed the courses Pharma advertising and information (basic) and Pharma Interaction.
