Summary

This course provides a basic introduction to human anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

You will learn how the body’s cells, tissues, and organ systems are structured and function through a combination of theory, practical sessions, and case studies.

You will gain a solid understanding of key clinical concepts and the evidence hierarchy, ensuring you are well-prepared for other parts of your programme and for engaging with healthcare professionals.

We deliver this course as blended learning, combining compulsory online preparation with in-person course days at Atrium.

Preparation consists of reading material, short online tutorials, and test or reflection assignments, which provide you with the necessary foundation to get the most out of the teaching. The course concludes with an online exam.

This course is for you if you want to gain a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology, and strengthen your communication skills when working with or advising on medicines, for example in sales, marketing, market access, or public affairs.

This course is a compulsory module of the Pharma Consultant Diploma.

  3. To explain the mechanisms behind various diseases and link theory to clinical practice.

  5. To apply theoretical knowledge in a clinical context
