Summary
In this course on pathology you will learn about the most common diseases in humans, you will learn about the causes and symptoms, how they are diagnosed and what the recommended treatments are.
This course consists of 2 class room sessions and/or online self-studying. If you are not able to participate in the two half days class room sessions at Atrium, you have the opportunity to view a videotaped version at home. Furthermore, there are some mandatory readings and presentations on your personal Atrium profile for self-studying in between the course dates.

This course is open to anyone who wants a basic knowledge of pathology and who wishes to strengthen their capabilities when working with or advising on drugs as a professional in sales and marketing, market access or public affairs.
This course is a mandatory module of the Pharma Consultant Programme.

Literature
Prior to the course you will get access to mandatory and optional readings via your personal Atrium log-in. Please familiarize yourself with the mandatory readings before starting the course.

Prerequisites
You are required to have a good understanding of anatomy and physiology prior to starting the course. Aside from this, there are no prerequisites but we recommend that you have a Bachelor’s degree or similar as a minimum.
Examination
The exam is usually held 3-4 weeks after the course.
This course finishes with a written exam based on a case.
The scope of the assignment is maximum 5 pages (of 2400 appendices).
