The Danish Pharmaceutical Academy Programme is open to anyone who wants a basic education in pharmaceuticals or to strengthen their capabilities when working with or advising on drugs. This programme is relevant for you if you are an assistant pharmacist advising on pharmaceuticals or if you work with sales and marketing, market access or public affairs. Each course provides you with an in-depth study into a certain pharmaceutical area.

Several of our courses can be attended as evening courses over 5–8 weeks or as weekend courses over 2–3 weekends. You can take the Anatomy and physiology, Pathology and Pharmacology I courses online.

Market Insight

For Lif member companies

It’s a requirement that Lif member companies register sales representatives and product specialists for the programme. All employees who advise on drugs must have started the programme within 12 months of employment and must have passed the final exam within 30 months of employment.

There are no prerequisites or academic background requirements for you to be accepted on to this programme.

We hold the written exams for Anatomy and physiology, Pathology, Law, ethics and stakeholders and Pharmacology I in June and November each year. These exams consist of essay assignments and multiple-choice questions. You are not allowed to use any aids during the exams. We hold the exams for Pharmacology II and Market insight and mechanisms separately. To obtain the diploma you must pass the exam of all six courses (module 1, module 2, module 3, module 4 part 1, module 4 part 2 and module 5).

Both employees and companies are required to demonstrate that they have a high professional skill level and the latest knowledge about drugs. Re-certification provides the latest drug knowledge, including new research, new treatments etc. Recertification is available every three years after DPA graduation. It consists of a two-day course primarily refreshing knowledge from courses Pathology and Pharmacology I and II.
