Summary
The Pharma Consultant Programme is open to anyone who wants a basic education in pharmaceuticals and the pharma industry and who wants to strengthen their capabilities when working with or advising on drugs, e.g. as a professional in sales and marketing, market access or public affairs.
The programme is developed with insights from thorough market research and in collaboration with leading managers from the pharmaceutical industry to ensure that the course content is up to date and easily applicable to your everyday work life.
Programme structure
The programme consists of compulsory courses that provide conceptual knowledge on anatomy, physiology and pharmacology and a range of elective courses that enable you to design a programme that fits your professional interests.
The training is a combination of online training and classroom training to offer you the best learning environment for each topic, therefore the compulsory courses Anatomy & Physiology and Pathology are conducted as online training.
Please note that the compulsory course Pharmacology consists of three modules (Module I, Module II and Module III) each module is a two-day course, and you must register for each pharmacology module separately.
To obtain the diploma you must attend four compulsory courses (including Pharmacology I, II and III) and two elective courses. You can take the courses in random order, however it is required that you take the course Understanding Pharma before any elective courses.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites or academic background requirements for you to be accepted on to this programme.

SPECIAL PROGRAMME FOR NORWEGIAN COURSE PARTICIPANTS
For Lif member companies
This is a basic education for all persons who, on behalf of a pharmaceutical company and the like presents, informs and advices on drugs.
The education applies to all "persons who, on behalf of pharmaceutical companies and the like. presents, informs and advices on drugs "(Vejledning om reklame for lægemidler (VEJ nr. 10356 29/12/2014)). Regardless of the employment title, persons with the above functional description will be considered as Pharma Consultant (Lægemiddelkonsulent).
All employees who advise on drugs must have started the programme within 12 months of employment and must have passed the final exam within 30 months of employment.
In addition, LIF member companies are obliged to register all of their Pharma Consultants, so LIF can ensure that all employees who inform about drugs have passed the exam within the above deadlines.
Recertification
Both employees and companies are required to demonstrate that they have a high professional skill level and the latest knowledge about drugs. Re-certification provides the latest drug knowledge, including new research, new treatments etc. Recertification is available as masterclasses approximately twice a year.
