What was your personal motivation to participate in the Market Access course?

I needed practical knowledge about applications, decision making and decision makers. I wanted to gain a better understanding of how decision makers think and get more knowledge on the dynamics that determine access to market. These insights will help me target my own work.

What does your company gain from employees attending the Market Access course?

In the medico industry, we are not subject to the same requirements as the pharmaceutical industry, but we operate in the same market, so it is essential that we understand the whole of the industry we are a part of. At the same time, we know that over time we may be subject to some of the same requirements, so one way to be at the forefront is to keep an eye on what is happening in the pharmaceutical area.

What is your experience of the course?

The course has given me a good overview on how the Danish healthcare system is organized. Although the level is high, it is organized, so I got a good introduction without having a background from the pharmaceutical industry. I can use much of the knowledge gained to make a good application for approval of a product. It has also strengthened my network, and I have several new contacts I expect to benefit from in the future.

Leis Ravn, Key Account Manager, BMS

Participated in Medical Market Access: The Economic Decision Makers in 2018

What was your personal motivation to participate in the Market Access course?

I have been in the industry for 17 years, as a sales person all the years. With the ongoing development in the industry with fewer and fewer sellers, I have realized that if I want to stay in the industry, I have to develop. To me, it means I have chosen to take the market access direction, and this course is obvious to pave the way.

What does your company gain from employees attending the Market Access course?

BMS undergoes the same development as the rest of the industry. We have therefore prioritized to add market access competencies to the seller role. This means that my hands-on experience and specialist knowledge are not lost. On the contrary, the competencies are put into an overall perspective, so I am well prepared to have a dialogue with e.g. hospital pharmacists, HCPs and hospital directors.

What is your experience of the course?

Everything is well organized, and I always feel confident when attending a course at Atrium. This, of course, applies to the actual course execution, but also to the practical information and communication prior to course start. The actual market access course is characterized by the fact that both presenters and participants are competent and experienced, so it provides some really exciting and relevant discussions. The dialogue-based approach and the work on a concrete case makes it very realistic and directly applicable. The course have super good speakers and a good mix of people from the industry, government agencies and private consulting companies. I have gained a good introduction to the market access role through this course.
